The seven chains on ZyCrypto

Lesson 5. New tokens launch on a chain. ZyCrypto lists seven. The contract from lesson 3 only counts on the chain you selected.

A decentralized token lives on a chain. The same ticker on two chains can be two contracts. New DeFi projects pick a network when they launch. If that network is not listed here, ZyCrypto cannot swap the coin, however new it is.

This is lesson 5 of the DeFi swap lessons. The contract lesson is how to check a token contract.

The lesson series

  1. Start here
  2. What a decentralized swap is
  3. How to keep a wallet safe
  4. How to check a token contract
  5. The fee and the price move
  6. The seven chains (this page)
  7. Your first swap

The seven

  • Ethereum. The network many older contracts started on. Gas is ETH.
  • Base. A widely used network for app tokens. The desk opens here. Gas is ETH.
  • Arbitrum and Optimism. Two more ETH-gas networks. A coin can be listed on one and not the other.
  • Robinhood. ETH, WETH, and USDG. There is no USDC on this list, and there is no stock token.
  • HyperEVM. HYPE, USDC, and WHYPE. Gas is HYPE.
  • Hyperliquid. The USDC trading balance. It is not a normal contract, and the chain is not added to the wallet like the others.

Majors such as ETH, WETH, USDC, USDT, and DAI appear where that chain lists them. The full list is the coin sheet, not this page. One known contract per symbol. Search by name, ticker, or address.

Selling on one chain, receiving on another

You can choose a different chain on the buy side. The quote then has to include that route. You read the route, the venue, the time, and the minimum before you sign. If no route exists for that size, the desk says so.

The address you checked on Ethereum is not automatically the address on Base. Change the chain, then read the contract again.

Gas, in one pass

  • EVM chains use ETH as gas and keep a 0.0005 ETH reserve when you sell ETH
  • HyperEVM uses HYPE and keeps 0.01 HYPE when you sell HYPE
  • Hyperliquid USDC has no gas reserve
  • Max leaves the reserve. The fee lesson explains the 1.50% on top of network cost

What a new launch changes

A launch on Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Robinhood, Hyperliquid, or HyperEVM can be reviewed later as one contract. A launch on a network that is not in that list cannot be selected, because the chain is not on the desk. Attention on social media does not add either one.

Pick the chain first, then the coin, then the address. The ticker is the last thing you trust.

Next is your first swap. The fee is in lesson 4. The desk is zyai.org.

Questions

Which chains can I swap on? Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Robinhood, Hyperliquid, and HyperEVM. A network that is not in that list is not on this desk.

Can I sell on one chain and receive on another? Yes, when both chains are listed and both coins are reviewed. You confirm that route before anything moves.

Does a new project on some other network work here? No. If its chain or its contract is not listed, the swap stays off.

Open the swap when the lesson is clear.

No account. You sign in your wallet. The fee is 1.50%. ZyCrypto does not hold the funds.
