Your first decentralized swap

This is the last lesson. You already know what a decentralized swap is, how to keep the wallet safe, how to check a contract, what the 1.50% fee is, and which chains exist. A first swap is those checks, in order, on zyai.org.

If you arrived because a new DeFi project is everywhere this week, the useful outcome may be that you do not swap. An unlisted contract stays off.

Before the amount

1. Open the swap. It is the first screen. You do not need a zy.ai account.
2. Read the policy. Three checks are required: you are 18 or older, this use is legal for you and you are not a sanctioned or restricted person, and you understand ZyCrypto does not hold your tokens, this is not advice, and you can lose the full amount.
3. Accept only if all three are true. If you do not agree, the swap stays closed.
4. Connect a wallet. On a phone, pick the wallet and open ZyCrypto in its browser. Rainbow, and any wallet that is not in the list, uses a copied link.

The policy is stored in this browser. It records that you were told and that you agreed. It does not make ZyCrypto legal in every country.

The coin, then the quote

1. Choose the chain, then the coin, on the sell side and the buy side.
2. Read the address under the coin. Copy it and compare it with the contract you checked. Native token and Trading balance are the two labels that are not a normal contract.
3. Read the token price. Then type an amount. The quote shows the route, the venue, the time, the ZyCrypto fee, the network cost, the Relay cost, the 0.50% price move, and the minimum you receive.
4. If the price gap is too wide, the swap stays off. If there is no route, the desk says so.
5. Sign in the wallet only if that quote is the one you want. The button does not send anything by itself.

After you sign

• A fill, a refund, a failure, or a swap that is still pending are different results. Wait for the one you actually have.
• Bought tokens and failed deposits return to the connected wallet.
• You can disconnect. That clears the desk in this browser and does not move funds.
• A filled swap can show 1 point on that wallet. Points are not cash and not chat credits.

Stop here if any line is wrong

• The chain is not the one the project uses
• The address does not match
• The coin is missing from the reviewed list
• The amount, the fee, or the minimum is not what you meant
• The wallet asking for a signature is not the one you opened

Questions

What do I do first? Open https://zyai.org/, read the policy, and accept all three checks. Without that, the swap stays closed.

Do I have to swap to learn the screen? No. You can connect, read the contract, and read the price. Nothing moves until you confirm a quote in the wallet.

What if the coin from a new project is missing? Leave it off. Search will not add an unlisted contract. Go back to the contract lesson and check the address on that chain.
